Another bingo hall closes
Gala Bingo has announced that they will be closing down their bingo hall in Nuneaton. The announcement by Gala Bingo has had numerous regular visitors of the bingo hall pondering the future of their bingo dates. The asking price for this historic building is soaring at £1.5million.
Just before the eruption of the Second World War, the Nuneaton building opened its doors as the Ritz Cinema. After numerous feet frequented the building and many films were shown, the cinema closed in 1984. After this, the building was converted into a bingo hall which played host to plentiful fun filled bingo games.
It is reported that Gala Bingo left its operations at the Nuneaton hall in order to give all their attention to their two other venues in Brade Drive, Walsgrave, and Radford Road, Coventry. The sale of the building will see players who enjoyed bingo in the Nuneaton bingo hall have to travel to Conventry if they want to visit a bingo hall. This commute significantly increases the costs of playing this popular game.
