A fight at a bingo hall in Charlotte, North Carolina ended in disaster when two players were wounded. The fight broke out over a dispute about a game, which caused one player to pull out a knife, wounding two other players in the process. Doris Deese and her son Curtis were at R & L Beach Bingo on Wilkinson Boulevard when the fight broke out.

"He cut me right here, right there," said Curtis Deese, indicating the wounds to his face. Doris Deese's lip was cut to the gum. She is not sure how the fight began, but thought that as the attacker hadn't won anything he may have gotten frustrated. "I heard a little cussing, cussing like, 'Aw man, new caller. Get a new caller," said Deese.

After the incident, the attacker disappeared off the scene, and is still at large. If he is caught, he could face charges of assault with a deadly weapon. As for the victims, they have been left in fear. They both received numerous stitches and had to spend some time in the emergency room. "It makes me not want to go out to play bingo," said Deese. For an activity that is meant to be about fun, one should never get violent over bingo games, regardless of how bad your losing streak may be!
